As we have stated before Atatürk was at the side of peace (domestic peace and international peace). Although he was an officer, he was against the war except the homeland defense. If the reason is the invasion, it is named as murder. He was the hero of Gallipoli wars. He struggled against ANZAC and British troops. After the republic, he addressed the mothers of ANZAC soldiers, and he told them that their children had become the part of this soil so they could feel well. The grandchildren of ANZAC soldiers come to Çanakkale to memorize their grandfathers every year. Atatürk invited many statemen from the world even though he fought against them after the independency war. He respected them. He established pacts to guarantee the peace around the region. He always emphasized that peace has always been very important for the world. ” Peace at home, peace in the world”

We realize that international threat is one of the serious problems in the international agenda. This problem creates very serious results such as nuclear war danger. Also, it threats the civilization of human being directly. Today’s politicians desire power and money. Some of them are acting as a king. Those are the things that will break the international rules and peace. The manner of the politicians is very dangerous for the international peace. Atatürk stated that if the international peace had been in danger, it wouldn’t have been enough to do for a nation.

Peace is the most important instrument to build a beautiful world.

I have stated for several times. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk has a different place among the statemen of the world. He is symbol of the real leadership. His legacy is to make the world a better place. International peace is the most important target of his policy. He showed us a way to build a free and better world. On the other hand, there are politicians in the international policy.

Let’s have a look of the differences between real leaders and politicians;

1. Real leader has the power of the public. Real leader cares the benefits of the public. But politicians worship power and money. So, nothing is important for politicians except their benefits.
2. Real leader knows everything about the history and science. He respects the expertise and mastership of the titles. Politicians have no vision. They just care to have the power, and they believe that they know everything.
3. Real leader seeks for the welfare of humanity. Peace is the most important target in domestic and the international area. Politicians mostly desire war and power. They never want peace in the world.
4. Real leader knows that the nations have right to decide on their own destiny. They can govern themselves. Politicians think that they have right to rule everywhere and everyone. They don’t have any respect to anything.
5. Real leaders have skills to rule, they never do this with power. They make the public believe in themselves. Politicians are ready to apply power in order to be in force.

Politicians should know how to act up to the benefits of humanity and peace otherwise the chaos will ruin the world. We all should evaluate our administrators very well.

Hard- working is a necessary feature to be successful. Future is always the target, and it is desired to last the good things forever. One great goal has always tough ways. Obstacles are strong. Also, there will be many people who will try to make you give up. If you are right and your goal is respective, nothing can stop you.

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk stated: Even if you get tired to follow me, don’t give up. It is necessary to work hard but a good plan is also vital. Future or a hard work without a good plan means nothing.

A nation or a country should make good plans for the future. Then strategies are necessary to make them true. Working hard is one of the ways in order to develop. The moves also should be smart. The circumstances should be evaluated very well. This is the secret of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

During our independency war, there were some (even many) people who were ready to accept another countries’ government such as UK and USA. They thought that they had never been able to govern themselves, so they needed a developed country to be governed. It was easy for them. They were ready to be the slave of any country, but one man didn’t accept it.

This man knew historical background of Turkish nation. He was Mustafa Kemal. Ancestors of Turkish nation had never lived as slave of any nation. They had only one slogan; Freedom or Death. Living under the mandate government eradicates the national culture and creates violence against local people. Once upon a time Atilla, the king of Huns, stated that accepting another people as referee could make your destiny surrendering to the enemy. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk is a leader of freedom. He rejects to be slave. His will is to continue living free forever for Turkish nation.

At present, we have many samples that proves this explanation. Especially in Middle East, we can see that the public are being separated by the mandate government. The peace has never come here until we understand that nobody will help us except ourselves. They have only one aim: to control the energy sources. As in the past, religion especially Islam is used for controlling the public. We had seen the same scenario in Anatolia, but we made it. Freedom can’t be lived under the mandate government of any country.

Economy is the most necessary policy for the states in modern times. The states had different priorities in ancient and medieval ages. A strong army and the power of a king were some of them. But despite of some factors, trade has been very important for the development for centuries. International relationship had been enriched by trade lines.

Mustafa Kemal faced with a fact; Ottoman Empire couldn’t adopt the economic development that was the result of geographical expeditions. Western world became the industrial revolution true thanks to geographical expeditions. Then economic development was in Western world. The states in economic untidiness are always in crisis in modern world. That’s why, some unexpected results will be faced. As Atatürk was aware of this fact, he aimed at economy after the military triumph. He established national companies in order to produce what Turkish state needed. Then national banks were established due to support the domestic industry. Those moves brought Turkish Republic to the top of the world before WW2. 1 US $ was equal to 1 TL in that period and Turkish Republic didn’t face important difficulties in that period because of those moves. On the other hand, working hard and efficiency helped new Turkish State. His legacy compromised the economic targets of new Turkish state.

The nations that desire to rise up should have strong economic programs. Those programs shouldn’t serve personal benefits and have to contribute the economic outcomes.

The leaders are very important because they show the way for living in a country. M.K. Atatürk stated that the true politicians would make a country rise up, otherwise the result wouldn’t be fine. Thanks to historical events, we can see that he is right. Unskilled administrators (politicians) will get a country down so the order will break down. Then the peace and international rules will be unsettled.

Atatürk had some historical studies on the various states of all times. So, he got some conclusions. That’s why he warned Turkish public about this subject. It is directly about the sustainability of the country and regime. A public should be very careful about the administrators. They should be analyzed very well. Corruption is one of the destructive situations for a country. Good administrators serve the public in a right way so good results will be approved. It is also very important for international peace.

The most important power of a country is a well-educated public. As we have stated for several times, education is the most important policy in order to be a civilized public. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk is a leader that has a will to rise up a well-educated public. He was aware of this fact. The absence of well- educated public creates very serious results for a country.

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was aware of the fact that Anatolian Turkish Public had been ignored for years. They had been neglected for centuries. They were mostly farmers or low-leveled workers except the war times. They were called for duty in war times. That’s why many generations were lost in last century. The authority didn’t give them necessary education service or the sufficient economic development. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk wanted to change this order and desired to rise up this clean public. He desired them to be well-educated individuals. Teachers are the most important people in the public. They shape generations. So, they have a vital role to shape the future of the country. He acted as a real leader, and his testament is directing us to go on this way.
