Anatolia has a multi-cultural structure in this landscape. South eastern Anatolia which is a transition zone between Europe and Asia has many cultural layers starting from the history till today. Diyarbakır is the centre of the region. So even today we face many priceless historical treasures such as Mesudiye Theological School. It was built around 12th century AD. The building is still standing at present. It has this feature; it was the first university of Anatolian Peninsula.
