Syedra Ancient Site- Alanya; the new attraction site of Antalya

Mediterranean region has many archeaological treasures such as ancient sites. Alanya county of Antalya is a wealthy region. Syedra ancient site is one of those ancient sites.

It is guessed that it is dated back to 9th century BC. Like the other ancient sites, there are social and political facilities such as bath, assembly buildings and theater. It seems that the religious facilities were built after the Christ. A baptism cave was discovered. It is thought that it is dated back to 5th century AD. One of the essential facilities of this ancient site is the cistern. This cistern was carved in a cave.

It is free of charge to visit this ancient site. It was one of the most prefferred sight seeing places of this summer.
