Zerzevan fortress is one of the oldest ancient sites of Turkey. It was a headquarter for a division. Also it was an important place for ancient times due to the lost cult during Roman era. A secret temple was unearthed in the fortress.

During the COVID pandemic, despite of travel restrictions the Zerzevan fortress was one of the attraction centers in Turkey. It is in the border of Diyarbakır province. The archeological site takes you to another world like “Lord of Rings”.
