103 years ago, Ankara that is located in the mid-Anatolia had a sun shine in Turkish history. Parliament of new Turkish state had been opened on 23rd of April 1920 with the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Pasha. Turkish public was under the attck of winner states of WW1. They were arranging some plans on Turkish land. But Mustafa Kemal rejected to surrender to those plans. He planned to establish the independency of Turkish land. First step was to unite all the public. Turkish Assembly was the first move and it was the political-military headquarter of Turkish independency war.
After the independency war was finished, Turkish state was declared as the Republic on 29th of October 1923. Then the leader of Turkish Republic Mustafa Kemal stated that he gave this day to children. 23rd of April was declared as Children day. Because he told the public this statement: the children are the future of this nation and the world. They deserve this honour and the education starts with loving all children.
He is the only leader that presents a day to children. Thanks to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the world children gather in Ankara and celebrate their day.
Thank you great leader, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk
