Turkish landscape is full of ancient sites and some of them are less known than others. Thera ancient site of Muğla province is one of them. It is thought that it belongs to Carian civilization which is known as native of this landscape. It is dated back to 4th century BC.

Although there hasn’t been any archeaological excavation, the magnificent grave forms are very attractive. Those are the visible proofs of developed society. It is assumed that many valuable archeaological treasures will be unearthed after the archeaological works. The hints on Carian civilization is hidden in that ancient site.
