İshakpaşa Palace; A modern palace in medieval age

A palace in the eastern region of Turkey has a special place in architectural history. A palace that is named İshakpaşa Palace is located nearby Turkey’s Iran border. It is in Doğubeyazıt county of Ağrı province at present. It was built 235 years ago. Its features were further the past.

The features of this palace are so specific that we can come across them in a few places. The heating system is one of the outstanding features of İshakpaşa palace. Maybe the local climate can be the essential fact but it is so developed that even today it can be used. According to the stories, milk was flowing in the palace. Even the toilet system was established (the medieval European palaces don’t have toilet systems).
