Porta Monastery


Turkish landscape is a very important destination for religious tourism in the world. Thanks to the existence of ancient Christian temples, Anatolia is an important religious destination. It is certain that Christianty became an universal religion in Small Asia.

Porta Monastery is located in Artvin province of Turkey. It is dated back to 9th century AD. It was built by a Balgrat king. It is a religious complex including church, fountain and facilities. It is considered as one of the great complexes of Christian world.
