Rakoczi Museum; A Hungary state owned museum

There is a Hungarian museum in Thracian region of Turkey. It was the house which was the resident of Hungarian prince, II. Rakozci. He struggled for independence of Hungary. In that period, there was an Austrian- Hungary Empire in history. He was heading the uprise of Hungarian people against Austria. But he couldn’t manage the uprising and he took refuge to Ottoman Empire. He lived in this house till his death.

Hungarian state bought the house and it became a museum. It was dedicated to Hungarian prince II.Rakozci.
