The oldest emoji of the world

Emojis became one of the essential comminucation elements in recent years. Especially social media triggled this communication mode. I am sure that we mostly think that it is a new mode but it isn’t.

This vase above is older than 2000 years old and it was found in a tomb in South Eastern region of Turkey. This smiling face may mean different things when we compare past and present but it is obvious that it is a happy vase.

It is being exhibited in Gaziantep Archeaology Museum.
