Anatolian Minor Fortress; A small but very important fortress of Ottomans

As it is always mentioned, Istanbul has many historical buildings. Anatolian minor fortress is a small fortress but it had an extraordinary place in history. This fortress was built in 1395 by Yıldırm Beyazıd. It had various names in the history. Today we name this fortress as Anatolian Minor Fortress. Its mission was to stop the support to Byzantine from Black sea during second siege of Ottomans.

This fortress had a very important role on Ottoman history. Beside the second siege of Constantinople, it was the fortress where the son of Yıldırım Beyazıd hid here after the defeat of Ankara war (war with Timur) according to historical sources. Because Timur captured Yıldırım Beyazıt and the land of Ottoman State was dissolved.
