103 years ago, new Turkish Republic was founded. After a tough fight for freedom and independency, Turkish nation was honored with a new Turkish Republic thank to a leader who had a real and strong vision. Many lives were sacrificed and generations till the end of WW1 were gone. Turkish nation fought against Imperialism, and we didn’t accept to be the slave of our enemies. We preferred to die instead of being a commonwealth of Imperialism.
After the independency war was won, Mustafa Kemal became his plans true for a strong and civilized Turkish Republic. Firstly, the suitable ruling system should have been chosen. Monarchy wasn’t an option for the future. A new and strong system should have been applied to new Turkish State. Republic was the best system that everyone in public could be represented. So, the country would unite with the Republic spirit. Even today we can see how Ataturk is right. His republic has strong and national roots.
The republic was declared on 29th of October 1923. Turkish Senate accepted this proposal by unanimous vote. Mustafa Kemal’s leadership directs us to a free and civilized world. He always guides the nation that are under Imperialism. His statements are showing us the best way to free world. The benefits of the nation and the Turkish Republic are above everything. They can’t be compared with a group’s or someone’s benefits.
