In opposite of the claim on Atatürk, he was a brilliant Muslim leader. He was at the side of true religion especially for Islam. He never let anything happen in opposite of Islam.

After the republic was declared, he had a mission to protect Islam from wrong beliefs. Saudi Arabian King declared that house of Prophet Mohammed would be collapsed. He immediately answered this declaration; If you intend to collapse the house of Mohammed, I will take my army and come to Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabian King feared from this reaction and he gave up doing it.

When he was considered as the greatest person, he always replied as he wasn’t. He considered Prophet Mohammed as the greatest person.

He fought for freedom with the faith of Allah, he was never afraid to die.

Religion is one of the mechanisms that are used for controlling the public. If the religion is used for controlling the public, there is no freedom there.

Turkish nation had been pressed by the religion and religious power for centuries so we got weaker and weaker. The worst point was that this religious power was used by someone to control Turkish public. We have the same situation today. That’s why the secularism is very important.

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk aimed at teaching the religions in a proper way. He knows when an individual practices the religion in a true way, that person will be free. The state can’t have a religious side, religion is between the God and the person.
