Tavium ancient site; A site of trade in Central Peninsula

Tavium ancient site

Tavium is one of the important sites of Central peninsula because it had a very important role due to its location. It was a capital of the land of Trokme region. This is the story;

The tribe Trokme that was member of Galats founded this site in 280 BC. Tavium was the center of trade and a stop point for travelers. Traders were important visitors in that site. Also Hittites and Phrygians settled here. It was a settlement area till 1st century AD. It was the capital of Central peninsula of Galats.

We know that Tavium was a trade center of Central Peninsula and it had been active till 1st century AD.
