Politics is a very sensitive branch. It can be affected from anything. Even though intension is right, any other fact can change the path of the politics. Especially religion is the most important fact that can change the politics. As a human right, every individual has right to live and act up to his/her belief.

Mustafa Kemal observed how English forces used radicals against national forces. Some hodjas were trying to affect the public that England was their best choice. Even today, we observe the same situation in Middle East. The public of the Middle East is pushed to the trap of West by using Islam. Secularism is the principle against this threat. It is also valid for every belief. Secularism makes the public live together. Beliefs may change but target is one: great country. Diversity never separates a country, it enriches the culture. For example, Islam, Christianity and Jewish communities have been living in harmony for centuries in Anatolia. You can see that mosques, churches and synagogues are next to each other. They are respectful for their holy times. When religion and politics get together, bad results may occur in the country. Medieval age is very good example for Europe. Do you know why millions of people died in 16th century because of plague? Absence of cats. Church authorities declared that cats were the animals of the satan. So they were killed. Rats got more and plague spread. Result was a chaos.

Logic and science are the best guides individually and for nations. Education is the most necessary power in a country.

How can a nation stand up?

A nation has to deal with some problems in order to survive. Freedom isn’t so easy because it requires sacrifices. Turkish nation didn’t stand up easily or in a short time. Firstly, we are lucky because a genius commander leads us. Even today he continues to lead us with his principles.

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk legated us some points to be free. Such as to be ready to choose the difficult path to achieve the national goals. Working hard and getting tired are the key features for the success. The benefits of the nation are the prior for the development. The nation should unite for the freedom. Atatürk was a soldier, so he was aware of the importance of the collecting intelligence. In the battlefield, he was making his decisions up to the intelligence. He organized all of the army according to the military rules within the intelligence. Not only from the Turkish Army, and also from the enemy armies he got intelligence. He shared his information with every foreign commander while talking to other commanders. For example, when Greek commander was captured, Mustafa Kemal explained his information to Greek commander. Greek commander surprised.

When Mustafa Kemal started to make his plans for recovery, he discovered that industry wasn’t sufficient for the welfare of a state. Industry was almost required for every branch in the country as today.

After the republic was declared, Mustafa Kemal had the national industry built. In 1930’s, Turkish industry was one of the top economies of the world. He had organized the industrial fairs. Turkish economy became the best economy before the WW2. Turkish Lira was equal to 1 US Dollar. Turkish Lira was one of the respected currencies at that period.

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk realized that economy is everything. It is the key to freedom. When a country isn’t dependent on the world for the manufacturing, that country can’t be free. To be independent is required to manufacture every sort of good.

I have stated that real leaders are those who can act with humanity for several times. Because they are always aware that they can be strong with the support of the people around them. When they do this by their will, they can achieve the goal easily.

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk has stated that he had never wanted to break the hearts. His mission is to show us how a nation can be free. He is a teacher more than a leader. He teaches the world how the people and nations can be free. Although he was a soldier, he was always at the side of humanity. He recommends us to respect the nations and the world.

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was a soldier, and he knew what the war could cause. His research on war history taught that a state should be strong and open-minded for the situations. Especially on high tension times, every danger appears for a state. That’s why, he recommended to evaluate the international situations very well and also to find out what they may cause in future.

To be neutral or no to support any party during high tension times isn’t important because the most important rule is to be strong at any time. Atatürk ordered the Turkish nation to go ahead every time. He stated us to work forever. Working hard is the most important feature for a nation. Most of the world may think that Atatürk is leader of Turkish Republic (only one country). But his revolution and life have a different place for the world’s policy. There are many reasons for this statement. Although he physically passed away, his spirit is living in Turkiye. Not only for Turkiye, but he is also guiding other nations to develop.

Peace is a universal target. Nobody or any nation can achieve this goal in their own effort. It requires common effort of the world. If a leader is being looked for, Atatürk is the best candidate.
