Dam lakes hide many ancient sites because many lands remain under it. An ancient site was unearthed in Tahtaköprü dam last year.
Hamamlar ancient site of Gaziantep is around 12.000 years old. It came out when the dam lake dried. There are archeological excavations on the ancient site. Unfortunately it will be under the dam lake when the rains begin.
