Aphrodite and Dyonsos were very important figures for ancient Greek society. We can come across many statues in ancient Greek sites. Western Anatolia was one of the important regions because some sites were so developed that the Greek culture raised here.
Aizonai ancient site – which is located in the border of Kütahya province- was one of the developed sites. Thus we can come across many valuable items here. Heads of Aphrodite and Dyonsos statues were unearthed. They can be considered as well preserved items.
This discovery proves us that we have more to unearth at those sites.
