A Roman settlement area and necropolis

The Roman Necropolis ruins

In addition to official archeological sites, there are more unofficial sites in Turkey. One of them is in Central Anatolia.

This site was used as Roman settlement area and necropolis. Illegal excavation caused damages on tombs and bodies. The tombs were shattered and bones were fell apart. It is thought that this area was built in early Roman age. Due to the absence of legal archeological excavation, we don’t have sufficient information on this area.

Shattered tombs

This area is located in country side of Eskişehir province. The authorities should notice here so we can have more information on Roman age of Small Asia.
