Meya Caves; The hidden beauty of Eastern Anatolia

Meya Caves

As we state that our landscape has many beauties. Eastern Anatolia has been hosting many inhabitants for centuries. The last discoveries showed us that some zones were very important such as Meya caves in Ağrı province.

This cave group seems like an ancient site. Those caves have some facilities such as temple, praying rooms and social rooms. The inhabitants’ identity and period aren’t absolute. We know that this place was one of the resident areas of Christians.

The most important point is that the archeological works aren’t enough to unearth the historical background of the area.
