Theodosius Forum; the lost square of East Roman Empire

Istanbul has a deep historical background. The historical site of Constantinople had many values that we can’t see today. Modern city of Istanbul is hiding some of ancient treasures. We can unearth them by archeaological excavations or any project.

By a modern city project, in 1950’s the modern Beyazıt square was being built . Some archeaological coloumns and items were unearthed. Because that site was the lost square of East Roman Empire. A triumphal arch was there. Some coloumns and stones were found at the site.

This is the one of the lost treasures of ancient site. They are exhibited at the street of Beyazıt where the arch used to be.
