Everything in the country belonged to them and their comrades. Mustafa Kemal was at the side of republic because it is very wrong to give all authorization to a group or someone. We can’t talk about freedom in this frame. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk addressed the public as “masters”. He wasn’t a master, the sovereign belongs to the nation. The country and its resources belong to the nation that live on it.
