A nation can be developed by providing democracy and having full freedom. There are some key features to achieve this goal. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk has some statements to assist us on this way.
Firstly, to work hard. He never advised us to search the easiest way to get a benefit. This should be our own achievement.
Secondly, we should improve us technically and socially. We have to question everything what has told us. (The first order of Islam is to read.). Education is the most necessary branch of a state.
Thirdly, we should take care of common benefits. Individual benefits will separate us and all of individual benefits may not be suitable for a country.
Fourthly, differences of a nation aren’t things that will harm the unity. If we can live in harmony, our differences will enrich our cultural life (Anatolian Lifestyle). We should respect each other and obey the rules in order to live in harmony.
Fifthly, take care of youths and children. They are the most precious treasures of the country. We should raise them up as patriots and good people.
Sixth point is to care the national values and history. Own your history and country. Don’t sell your country and people for the treasures (There is a line in our national anthem; don’t give your paradise country even though they give you all world).
Seventhly, the first thing you need is a country. If you don’t have a country, it isn’t important that you have. Because nothing will be yours. Protect your country very well.
