The basic qualification for a human being should be to be reliable. It is also very necessary for a leader. One who wants to make the public to be ready for action has to be reliable. His/her words should be related to his/her actions. That person has to keep the promise and tell the truth to the nation even if the status is very bad.
Mustafa Kemal Ataturk is such a leader that has those features. For example, he was a soldier, and he knew the war art. So, he always declared the results of the military operations in reality to the Turkish Senate. He always made the public hopeful for the victory. He also stated them what the status was in reality. That’s why, Turkish nation gave the necessary support to Turkish army and senate. He kept his promise, and he saved Anatolia from the invasion. He promised the public to be powerful after the triumph. He established industry and national managements. He promised to work for Turkish nation during his lifetime. He did all works to enrich the Turkish culture and lifestyle. He gave rights to Turkish women. He did many works to make new Turkish state developed until his death. Despite of his sickness in 1930’s, he always did deal with the works of the cabinet. He never asked for money from the budget for his personal payments. Because he knew that that money belonged to Turkish nation. He didn’t have limitless authority when he was in charge as he believed in the power of the public. The state has to work up to the separation of powers. Briefly he did all of his works in frame of being reliable. That’s why, he is the only leader of Turkish Republic.
Only the leaders like Ataturk are able to make the world a beautiful place…
