South Eastern Anatolia is a special region for history. As it is located between Europe and Asia, it has been hosting many civilizations for centuries. Also the religions promulgated from this region. Christianity left us great churches in the region. But unfortunately all of them aren’t lucky to survive till today. Black Priest Church is one of them;
It is estimated that it was built around 2nd century BC. After Artuqid civilization, it was converted into a bath for Artuqid royal family. This building has a place for old technical stories such as antique robots of Artuqid scientists.
Diyarbakır is the main residence area of the region. Also due to the historical background, Diyarbakır has an important place for history of belief.
