We have stated that Turkish landscape is a treasure for archeaology for many times. We have many ancient sites but we have more ancient sites that are waiting to be unearthed.
Hypiapa ancient site is one of them. It is located in border of İzmir province. Lydian, Persian and Roman settlements left traces here. It is guessed that it is around 2000 years old. Its location is between two grand ancient sites; Sardes and Ephesus. It was an important trade city. There are two legendary tunnels from Roman age. The excavations are still going on so the secrets of this ancient site will be released sooner.
