Persians moved to Aegean coasts of Small Asia. They wanted to have a wide empire and also they wanted to collapse all states in their route. They invaded Phokaia. Persian Emperor Kyros died here and they had a monumental tomb built in the end of 5th century BC. It was so glorious that it has been standing for centuries.
It is located in Foça district of Izmir province. It is one of few Persian monuments in Small Asia.
