Central Anatolia was a busy resident area in ancient era. The ancient site that were unearthed are the proof of this theory. Nora or Mokissos ancient site was one of them.
It was built in Hellenistic era. It was a military base in Central region. On the other hand, it was named as Mikossos. The city was well preserved and protected. In the same time, there were churches in the site. There used to be a necropolis around the site. The site was abandoned in 8th century BC.
