Mt.Ağrı;the peak of Anatolia

Mt. Ağrı is the peak of the Anatolian peninsula. It lies nearby the eastern border of Turkey. It is thought as holy by Armenian community. It was thought that it wasn’t possible to reach the peak point of Mt. Ağrı. If there was any person who achieved this, this person would have been punished by the God. It was the belief of Armenian churhes around the mountain.

Also it is the home of Noah’s Ark. It is believed that Noah’s Ark landed here. It has a religious value. But in addition to the religious value, it has a connection point to multi-cultural stage.
