Hittite civilization is one of the oldest civilizations in the history. According to the historical records, it is the oldest one in Small Asia. Ancent Nikea city was very important and one of the metropolitan cities of ancient era. Especially the Roman age, the city was on the top of the Small Asia. That’s why we are unearthing many great items from this age such as sarcophagus tombs.

The discoveries in this site are so impressive that we can find anything unexpected. Necropole of the ancient site is telling us very interesting stories. One of the last discovery is very interesting. The archeaologists unearthed two mummified body into the tombs. Many sarcophagus tombs are being discovered.
