A cave was discovered in Adıyaman province that is located in South eastern region. The importance of this cave is its historical background.
Two inscriptions were found on the entrance of the cave. It is named as “caves of Bakhios”. Also there is a name as the cult area of Commagane King Mithrades.
It was carved in a rock as three story cave. It is around 1800 years old. According to a theory, it is the cult area of Dionysos. As the research is continued, the history of the cave will come up.
