Commagene Empire was one of the states that Small Asia hosted. It was an important culture so they left us a great heritage for us such as Mt.Nemrut.

Arsemia ancient site was the summer capital and ruling center. Arsemia was founded by the founder of Commagene Arsames. It was founded on the edge of rivers and this site had fertile soils. Also there used to be a monument for the father of Emperor Antiochos I (Mithridathes Kalinikos).

Also there used to be a cistern. The relief that is above describes the figure that Mithridathes Kalinikos (the father of Antiochos I) is shaking hand with Hercules Heracles. Also we can see the some codes on the surface of rock.

It is located in Adıyaman province of Turkey and is across the old Katha fortress.

Small Asia was the geographical destination where Christianity grew up. Apostles visited here and promulgated Christianity in whole peninsula. Thanks to their effort, Christianity was shaped here.

Around Zey village of Adıyaman province, we see the caves that were houses of early Christians. Indeed they weren’t showy as Cappadocia but they survived here.

We can find traces of early Christians in various places.

This is the monumental rock tombs in Adıyaman province. This is the place that has a magnificent scenery.

Those rock tombs were built by carving the rocks. In addition to rock tombs, a relief was the attractive ones. King Antiochos shook hand with Sun God Helios. This was a sample of few monuments.

It is one of the less known ancient sites of Turkey. It is as important as Ephesus because it was one of the religious centers of ancient era.

It was one of five ancient sites of Commagene Kingdom. This site was famous for water springs nearby the city. Romans reported that it was a beautiful land with water springs. Perre site was one of the sites that sent delegate to Nicea for Bible assembly in Byzantine period. It was a busy stop point for traders and travelers. Also the graves were built by carving the rocks.

It is located in the border of Adıyaman province. It is one of the worth visiting places in Turkey.
