Adliye Castle; A retired Byzantine castle

As we always mention that East Roman (Byzantine) civilization had a great heritage in this landscape. They were the experts of building good castles. Their castles have never vanished totally. You can see the wall or gate but you can understand that it is a Byzantine castle. The castle of Adliye village is this sort of this castle. ;

As you see above, it is just a wall but you can see the Byzantine construction features. Its construction year isn’t absolute but it is thought that it was built in 13th century AD.

It is in Northern Western region of Turkey. Due to lack of archeological excavations, we don’t have sufficient information on the castle. It is certain that it has many stories for us.
