Anatolia has some interesting stories. The story of a lonely minaret is a great story. This mosque was built in Central Anatolia (today’s region is Çorum province at present) 147 years ago. The mosque served the local people as a religious facility more than 100 years. A flood collapsed all mosque expect the minaret in 1981. All territory was evacuated because of flood so the minaret got lonely. That’s why it is called as lonely minaret.

It was registered as historical site so the local people never forgot it even the village was evacuated. They desire this minaret to be restored.

Mustafa Kemal Ataturk is the founder of modern Turkish Republic and he is still the most effective leaders of the world. He has his heritage and spirit in every part of Turkish Republic. Thanks to his leadership, we have this country and we live free as a country. We owe him our everything.

In order to thank him and to memorise his leadership, many efforts had done and they are still being done. The biggest statue of Ataturk is on the peak of mountains in Artvin province of Turkey.

The statue is 22 mt tall and there is a flagstaff which is 60 mt tall nearby. It is a small effort to thank him for his leadership. His heritage is so big that it isn’t only limited in Turkish Republic.

Thanks to his principles and thoughts, a country can reach the freedom…

Eastern Anatolia is like a hidden natural treasure, the region has a lot of natural beauties. Due to the rough past of the region, the region wasn’t able to develop in tourism. So the beauties of the region had been unknown for a long time. It seems that the region’s situation seems promising. That’s why I would like to introduce you a great place from Eastern Anatolia.

Vast plain of Muş is one of the greatest nature treasures of Turkey. It is located on the high territory but it is a combination of green and blue. There are also small lakes that are stops of immigrant birds. This feature makes this region a good choice to watch the birds.

As it has been stated for several times, Turkish Republic is a country where everyone finds something for him/her.
