The features of this palace are so specific that we can come across them in a few places. The heating system is one of the outstanding features of İshakpaşa palace. Maybe the local climate can be the essential fact but it is so developed that even today it can be used. According to the stories, milk was flowing in the palace. Anatolia has some interesting stories. The story of a lonely minaret is a great story. This mosque was built in Central Anatolia (today’s region is Çorum province at present) 147 years ago. The mosque served the local people as a religious facility more than 100 years. A flood collapsed all mosque expect the minaret in 1981. All territory was evacuated because of flood so the minaret got lonely. That’s why it is called as lonely minaret.
It was registered as historical site so the local people never forgot it even the village was evacuated. They desire this minaret to be restored.

Ottoman Beylic was one of the border beylics. It was on the border of East Roman Empire. Thus Osman bey who was the founder of Ottoman Beylic had attacks on East Roman Empire territory. According to the general records, Ottoman beylic was established in 1299. Ottomans captured other beylics by marriages and wars. In following centuries, it became an empire.

There is also an ancient church which was built by the mother of emperor Constantine Helena. It seems that it was one of the destinations of holy trip to Jerusalem. In order to thank him and to memorise his leadership, many efforts had done and they are still being done. The biggest statue of Ataturk is on the peak of mountains in Artvin province of Turkey.
The statue is 22 mt tall and there is a flagstaff which is 60 mt tall nearby. It is a small effort to thank him for his leadership. His heritage is so big that it isn’t only limited in Turkish Republic.

We have a city that is located on Central Black Sea region. It is a cute and historical city. Also it was established on the skirts of mountains. It is dated back to Hittite Empire. Also this region protected its importance in later periods. Its real fame came in Otttoman Empire period.
Before its historical background, the natural landscape of the region is taking our breath away. The nature is very impressive here. Don’t forget to schedule a visit to Amasya.
As ı have stated before, its real fame is coming from Ottoman Empire period. The Ottoman princes were the natural canditates of Ottoman throne. They should have been trained to rule an empire since the childhood. Then they should have practiced their lessons in a strict of empire. Thus they were sent to little districts in order to improve their skills. Amasya was one of those stricts. Many Ottoman princes ruled this district in the name of Ottoman Sultan.
Also Amasya became an important place for our independence war. National forces of Turkish Assembly provided arms and goods from this province. After the modern Turkish Republic was declared, it became a historical city.
In recent years, the architecture of Amasya became one of the impressive local architectures of Anatolia. The houses have original plan and they are under protection of UNESCO.

According to an international survey, Topkapı Palace of Istanbul was voted as the most beautiful palace. Topkapı Palace which had been the headquarter of Ottoman Empire for 600 years has also a special place among other palaces of the world. Topkapı Palace competed with the big and glorious palaces of Europe and the travelers selected Istanbul’s head palace as the most beautiful palace.
It was constructed after the conquest of Constantinople by Ottoman Empire. It is located on a hill that dominates the waterway and Marmara Sea. There used to be a mega palace of Byzantines. Still we can see the ruins of this mega palace at the Sultanahmet square. Conquerer Sultan Mehmet II had this palace’s construction started and every sultan added extra buildings. After the western style palaces became fashionable in 18th century, Ottoman sultans moved to new palaces on the Bosphorus shore line. But Topkapı Palace never lost its glory. The restoration of Topkapı Palace show us the secret places and modernizations of the palace in time. Still the archeaologists may unearth the original parts of the palace or the ruins of mega palace.
