The sea between Greece and Turkey is always a discussion subject for both countries. Those islands have important location for both countries especially for Turkey. They are so close that some of them are ahead to Turkish coasts.

Aegean Sea is the name that Greeks use. It is based on mythological Greek prince. Turkish side named here as “Sea of Islands” till the second half of 20th century. Turkey accepted to use Aegean Sea for the global world.

It isn’t wrong even we name here “Sea of Islands”.

Japan is one of the friend countries of Turkey. Also we know that two countries have deep roots in history. Turkey and Japan have deep relationship in the world.

Cultural cooperation is so deep that it has been lasting for centuries. We are building Japanese gardens in Turkey. Also Ertuğrul ship of Turkish Navy incident ties up each other.

Turkish Navy Ship Ertuğrul had a visit to Japan by the order of Ottoman Sultan in 19th century. Ertuğrul vessel of Turkish Navy had a big relevance in every port she visited. When she arrived Japan, Turkish ship was at the service of Turkish-Japan friendship. While she was returning back to Istanbul, A hurricane warning had been made. Despite of this warning, Turkish captain wanted to leave the port on time. It was a wrong decision. She couldn’t handle this strong hurricane. She had sunk in the ocean. Thanks to Japanese nation, A campaign was held and the bodies of Turkish mariners were sent to Istanbul.

This incident made the cultural and social ties stronger. Still Turkey and Japan commemorate this incident at present.

Anatolia or the Small Asia has been the land of cultural peace and tolerance for centuries. Since the human being life has started, many civilizations and cultures have been living in harmony and peace.

We can say that religions and the belief sytems developed here. For example, we can come across traces of ancient belief systems of the world in Turkey. Göbeklitepe, which is the oldest religious site of the world, was unearthed. Pagan belief system facilities were unearthed on Anatolia.Christianty became an universal religion in Anatolia. The first church was carved in a rock in Hatay. Virgin Mary came to Aegean side of Anatolia and settled here. Islam got an identity thanks to Turks. First ancient empires were established here such as Hittites and Phrygians. Basic of Mesopotamian culture was in Anatolia. Lydians inverted first economical system here.

The great leaders of history have visited this landscape such as Alexander the Great and Egyptian Queen Cleopatra. Do you know that Egyptian Queen Cleopatra came to Tarsus in order to meet her love?

Church, syngagoue and mosque can be existed together such as in Hatay. Racism and discrimination aren’t in agenda of this culture. We aim to create a happy and respectful life. Differences are treasures of the society.

Every flag has a deep meaning for every nation in the world. A contest for the most beautiful flag was arranged a few days ago in Europe. The people voted for the flags of the world.

As a result, Turkey was voted as the most beautiful flag of the world. Spain was the second and USA was the third flag. I wanna thank everybody for their votes.

I feel a deep pride as a Turk with my flag and also I respect every flag. Because flags are the most valuable symbols of the countries. None of them can be humiliated or damaged.

Turkish history shaped this flag. As Turkish history is full of wars to defend the homeland, Red colour of blood is a suitable colour. We are ready to shed blood for our homeland and freeedom. Crescent and star are the most beautiful elements of the sky. Crescent and star have been using in Turkic world for centuries. Turkish flag is the reflection of Turkic history.

Turkish National Assembly was established in 23rd April of 1920 in Ankara. National severignty is one of the major principle of Turkey. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk fought hardly to establish National Assembly.

23rd of April was declared as national day and official children day in the constitution. Today this national day is 100 years old.
